LIVING PRINCIPLES
-
Your life will whiz by quicker than you could ever imagine. The days will slip into weeks, the weeks into months, and the months into years.
-
Your life is far too important to wait until you are just about to die to wake up.
-
No life, no matter how wonderful, is free of problems and challenges. The only individuals without any problems are those in their graves. Actually, it is the existence of problems and challenges that make us bigger, stronger, and wiser. We can run from them, and become bitter, complaining that life is hard. Or we can embrace them, and become better. Martin Luther King Jr. once said “ The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of confidence but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Every life will have its share of triumphs and beautiful times as well.
-
We are a dramatic influence on the way our lives unfold.
-
Once you connect with some kind of higher purpose and main aim in your life, there will be a corresponding release of passion and energy into your life. The secret of generating extraordinary levels of passion in our life is to discover your larger purpose.
-
Once you find your calling you get excited.
-
Be true to yourself and your destiny will come knocking. Life is a treasure and you are so much more than you know.
-
Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty. Please, do not let that happen to you. If you are not eighty yet, there still is time for you.
-
The World is transforming as people who were once willing to live ordinary lives now step out of their comfort zones to explore the wilderness of the extraordinary. People are no longer willing to settle for being half alive. Many people drain away the best years of their lives staring at a television set.
-
Millions and millions of peopled are standing up for their best lives. So many people are refusing to play the victim and instead choosing to play victor. So many people are going deep within themselves to visit and conquer their fears. Hearts are opening right across the globe and people are reclaiming the brilliant and wonderful parts of themselves that they lost as they grew up and became adults. It’s an extraordinary time to be alive. The whole World is becoming a better place to be. Actually, there’s never been a better time to be a human being.
-
Become authentic. Live your life on your own terms, congruent with your highest values and according to the dictate of your heart.
-
Be real and do well. You will feel better that way.
-
Your life will begin to work much better once you begin to listen to life.
-
Measure your life not by decades but by deeds.
-
Take some time to think about what you want your life to stand for when it is all done.
-
Successful fulfilled people make time to think, plan and reflect. They are awake to their lives because they know each day is anincredible precious gift. If you don’t believe that, walk into a hospital on the way home and talk to someone in the cancer ward or a heart failure patient in his waning moments. Ask them what they would give for an extra day of life.
-
Don’t take life for granted. Many peopled never take the above ground view that each day is a gift and an opportunity to create something great or make a difference.
-
Happiness is our birthright. But we get in our own way. We fall into traps of mediocrity. We believe we are not meant for miracles.
-
When you’re connected and committed to a special purpose, it’s clear that your ‘cause’, fuels and energizes you. A cause to stand for, no matter if it’s one about creating incredible experiences for the men and women you give your business or one that involves raising a family or saving heart failure patients, unleashes energy.
-
When you connect to some main aim that taps into the highest and best you have to give, the greatest part of you feels you are spending your life in a worthy way.
-
Do not live your life as a timid soul, my friend. Get into the arena, forget about the critics, and play big with the gifts of your days. Life is short and the years will slip away very quickly, like grains of sand passing through your fingers. There is but one failure in life and that is the failure to try.
-
Every year I live I am more convinced that the waste of life lies in the love we have not given, the powers we have not used, the selfish prudence that will risk nothing, and which, shirking pain, missed happiness as well.
-
Woodrow Wilson said “You are here not merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the World to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the World, and you impoverish yourself if you forget that errand.”
-
If you learn to enjoy giving you shall receive a great reward in return. Businesses that focus on giving the most to their customers get the best rewards. People that focus in giving rather than receiving in relationships have better relationships and receive more than those whom focus on the getting only.
-
A job of a leader is to unleash the power of the human spirit to be a force of good in the World.
-
Focus on being great at what you do. Dedicate yourself to offering others all you can to make their lives better. Be truly outstanding. As you sow, so shall you reap.
-
When you devote yourself to excellence in every thing you do, from your role as a leader at work to your role as a father, mother or friend in your personal life, you begin to feel a greater sense of positive pride about the way you are conducting your days. This releases greater energy and passion. That “lust for life” begins to kick in. People who feel good about themselves do great work and create great things.
-
Your life is like a thriller, my friend – half the fun is not knowing what’s going to happen. Often, the universe will send you a treasure in an unexpected package.
- Do your best – the very best that you know how to do in every dimension in your life – and then let life do the rest. It’s really a delicate balance between making it happen and letting it happen.
